The annual Massachusetts Arbor Day Celebration sees urban youth in cities across Massachusetts planting trees in their communities to improve their communities’ health and to combat global warming. Since its inception, the statewide Celebration, coordinated by Eagle Eye Institute and the Massachusetts YouthBuild Coalition, has seen hundreds of trees planted throughout the Commonwealth.

YouthBuild students work alongside municipal arborists, tree wardens and Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) staff to plant the trees and learn about the importance of trees in their communities. Urban youth in low-income communities and communities of color receive valuable experience and take action for a healthier future.

Classic's work with the event has included the creation of the Celebration's logo and slogan, "Planting Roots for Our Future." Classic also leads a public relations campaign that involves media outreach efforts, on-site media relations, and the creation of collateral materials.

In addition, Classic has spearheaded a marketing campaign whose solicitation efforts have led to in-kind and food and beverage donations, as well as other support for the Massachusetts Arbor Day Celebration. Included in these efforts is the creation of a sponsorship solicitation package which is used when contacting potential supporters.
