Since 1982, Mass Energy has pursued a mission to make energy more affordable and environmentally sustainable for the consumers of Massachusetts. In 2007, Mass Energy merged with Rhode Island People’s Power and Light to form a new non-profit, the Energy Consumers Alliance of New England. The programs offered by Mass Energy include the Discount Heating Oil Network, New England GreenStart, New England Wind Fund, Solar Energy Programs, Oil Bank, and advocacy for both consumers and the environment on local, state and regional energy issues.

Classic Communications assists with coordination and promotion of Mass Energy events, including the fifth anniversary celebration of Rhode Island People's Power and Light, a clean energy cruise to the Hull Wind Turbine, and Mass Energy’s 25th anniversary gala.
