  Meg Schermerhorn MEG SCHERMERHORN, Director of Operations

Meg Schermerhorn has been with Classic Communications since 1996.  Meg serves as assistant to Classic President Marty Bauman and she manages Classic’s office and staff, prioritizing assignments to meet schedules and deadlines. She maintains Classic’s many databases of media contacts, sponsorship prospects and many other groups and organizations.

In addition to her organizational skills, she designs newsletters and advertisements, writes press releases, and serves as Co-Director of the Charles River Watershed Association’s Run of the Charles Canoe & Kayak Race, with an emphasis on race management. Meg also provides on-site coordination at a number of events. Meg earned her Bachelor of Arts from Bridgewater State College.
     
 

Beth Gold

BETH GOLD, Director of Equestrian Accounts

Beth Gold has been with Classic Communications since 1997. While responsible for overseeing all equestrian account activity, she maintains a particular focus on marketing with personal involvement in the recruitment and coordination of sponsors, advertisers, product donors, and vendors. She develops sponsor proposals, places paid and barter advertising, and oversees fulfillment of sponsor commitments.

An experienced horsewoman and trainer, Beth also provides on-site event management at a variety of events including having worked at Olympic Selection Trials and World Cup Finals. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Fitchburg State College in 1991, and has done graduate work at Northeastern University.

     
  Stef Komorowski

STEF KOMOROWSKI, Project Manager

Stef Komorowski has worked with Classic Communications since November, 2004. She focuses on marketing and public relations, in addition to assisting with event management. She has built extensive relationships and has negotiated agreements with environmentally oriented companies for sponsorships, advertising, and promotional purposes on behalf of the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA), Massachusetts Sierra Club, Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions (MACC), and the Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM).

Stef's efforts have helped generate extensive media coverage for NESEA’s Green Building Open House, as well as its Building Energy Conference, and the 2005 Cerebral Palsy World Championships in New London, CT. In 2006, Stef assisted with event management details for Tour de Sol. Prior to working at Classic Communications, she held an internship position at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative working in the area of Public Outreach and Education. She earned her Masters in Biology in 1990 at the State University College at Oneonta, NY.

     
  Sally Berkowitz

SALLY BERKOWITZ, Account Supervisor

Sally Berkowitz has been with Classic Communications since April, 2006. She manages several alternative energy and environmental accounts, including a number of non-profits. Her primary responsibilities include, working on event logistics, public relations, sponsorship, marketing and serving a member on their planning committees. Her background in art gives her a strong eye for visual marketing and advertising campaigns.  She is outgoing and is a valuable asset on-site managing events.

Sally's clients include Massachusetts Energy Consumers Alliance, Boston’s Urban Forest Coalition, Hybridfest, Conference on Clean Energy, Run of the Charles and the Environmental League of Massachusetts. She has served as a member of the Ignite Clean Energy ‘07 Steering Committee managing the event logistics and overall coordination for this annual 6 month competition. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a minor in Studio Art, from Skidmore College in 2003.

     
  Michelle Riggs

MICHELLE RIGGS

Michelle first became a part of Classic Communications in 2005 when she began working in the office as an intern from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. After graduating with Honors in May 2006 with a degree in Equine Business Management with concentrations in Marketing Communications and Psychology, Michelle returned to her home state of New York, and worked as the Director of a large equestrian training center. In 2007 Michelle returned to Massachusetts and rejoined the Classic Communications team. Currently, Michelle combines her experience in the equine industry with her excellent written and oral communications skills, and enjoys being involved with many of Classic’s equestrian clients. She continues to be active with horses as a rider and trainer.
